Didn't get your EHR money? Think you should have, but missed the appeals deadline? You now have till April 30.
Last week was supposed to be the eligible professionals (EPs) eligibility appeals deadline for 2011. But CMS has just sent an announcement that they've extended it to April 30, 2012.
The hospital deadline was December 30, 2011.
According to CMS, an eligibility appeal -- as opposed to a meaningful use appeal or an incentive payment appeal -- "allows a provider to show that all the EHR Incentive Program requirements were met and that he or she should have received a payment but could not because of circumstances outside of the provider’s control."
